Mountain Tree Coffee

In the Japanese language, Mountain Tree is pronounced "Ya Ma Ki". It is my wife’s family name. For us it represents Quality, Integrity and a sense of Style.

Welcome...

Mountain Tree Kona Coffee Estate is the fulfillment of a goal that my wife, Keiko, and I have strived for the last twenty years, to become a part of and contribute to the community of the Big Island and at the same time to bridge the cultures of my wife’s homeland, Japan.

We fell in love with South Kona and it’s most famous export, 100% Kona Coffee during one of our frequent visits to relatives living in Hawaii. The area of Captain Cook, especially the Painted Church Road looking into Kealakekua Bay, is an exceptionally beautiful part of the “Kona Coffee Belt” which spans an area 22 miles long and 1 mile wide. Mountain Tree Kona Coffee Estate rests 800 feet above sea level. To the north we see the beautiful and sacred Kealakekua Bay; to the south is the historic Place of Refuge.

Mountain Tree Kona Coffee Estate has been producing 100% Kona coffee since 1987 and has produced and marketed the finest Estate Kona Coffee to many fine establishments throughout Hawaii, Japan and the mainland. We are currently negotiating additional world markets.

Our coffee is selectively hand picked and harvested where only the best, the most ripe cherries, are brought to product. We will have a limited “Estate Vintage” available in any given year (Approximately 5,000 lbs). This Special Unique Taste will be offered exclusively to a very few fine restaurants and “Outlets”. This will ensure that we will reach the discriminating coffee aficionado who appreciates and understands the quality and delicate complexity of this exceptional gourmet coffee.

The Krissman Family is hoping you will appreciate a truly outstanding coffee that is very much like a fine estate wine released in limited supply, costing more than the average cup, but worth it!

Take a few moments to browse our site and learn more about our farm and our 100% Kona Coffee.

Thank You, Allen Krissman
